Hold your phone in both hands like the grip of a club, with its strap round your wrist, in a clear space, and make your swing. The phone measures how fast your hands turn through impact. Your calibrated full swing equals full power, which carries the distances you entered for each club, so a softer swing goes shorter and a faster one goes a little further. Aim stays on the screen, and putts stay on the screen.
Sensors are off.
Enter how far you carry each club at full power, in metres. The game sets every club to match, so the dots and auto club pick use your numbers.

Bought once and kept for good. Gloves and shoes can be changed at any time, even mid-round, as in real golf.
Balls are sold in sleeves of 3. Hitting into water or out of bounds loses the ball in play; the range ball is free and never runs out. Earn coins by finishing holes: 3 for double bogey or worse, 8 bogey, 15 par, 30 birdie, 60 eagle, 3000 hole in one. Finishing a round pays a bonus: 10, 40 or 100 coins for 3, 9 or 18 holes.
The main rules of real golf in plain words, for stroke play (every stroke counts). Tap a section to open it.
Get the ball from the teeing area into the hole in as few strokes as possible. Your score for a hole is every stroke you make plus any penalty strokes.
In stroke play you must hole out on every hole. If you don't, you are disqualified, unless the competition uses a maximum-score format that caps each hole.
Par is the expected score for a good player. One under par is a birdie, two under an eagle, one over a bogey.
This is the heart of golf. You play the course as you find it and the ball where it stopped.
Water hazards are called penalty areas and are marked with red or yellow stakes or lines. You may play the ball from inside one with no penalty, and you may ground your club there. Or you can take relief for 1 penalty stroke:
Anywhere except a penalty area, you may declare your ball unplayable, for example in a bush or against a tree. For 1 stroke, choose one:
You get a free drop, within one club-length of the nearest point of relief and no nearer the hole, from:
Drop from knee height, straight down.
